As many of you may already know, in June we celebrate the Saints in Lisbon. It is a great party and everyone goes to the streets and party all day long during the month and it is such an amazing time that only if you see it you can actually experience what is it. We eat sardines and great meat, and Caldo Verde soup, beer, ginginha and dance traditional portuguese songs and we have a traditional plant that we call Manjerico. The legend says that we can not smell directly with our noses, we put our hands and then we smell the hand unless we want it to die.. And it happened to me everytime that I smelled it with my nose it died!! :P
Also it is the month of Saint Anthony so we ask him to find us a boyfriend or a husband, so it is typical loads os couples married in this month so we say that is a blessed month and wedding !
It is a very colourfull month full of smells in the streets and I really hope you have the opportunity to visit us one day!
